The course is designated for specialized units that work for the Ukrainian army and security forces. The aim of the course is to train one military medic for each security force unit to give necessary and quality medical care when required.
The seven-day intensive course includes teaching and conducting first aid as well as primary and secondary assessments, the algorithm of care for different types of injuries and provides for timely quality medical assistance including simple surgical procedures (the principles of Care Under Fire and Tactical Field Care).
Western and Ukrainian military instructors who have combat experience and are supervised by the medical director of the organization giving the course. There are no more than 6 trainees per instructor.
Course requirements: Successful completion of the Combat Lifesaver (CLS) course and having combat experience.
