Improving our skills and knowledge: a course from Lithuanian paramedics
Patriot Defence instructors constantly improve the level of their knowledge and skills. In June together with Lithuanian practicing paramedics they successfully passed an advanced course on trauma life support.
The course focused on professional assistance to trauma patients at the pre-hospital level. Its constituent elements are patient examination skills, reanimation skills, stabilization and immobilization of patient injuries.
Training time was devoted to the practical aspects of various simulation scenarios, and only a small part was spent on theoretical lessons. Here is an example photo from the patient immobilization and transportation station.
An important aspect of the training were the instructors, as they are practicing paramedics, who work in the Lithuanian system of emergency medicine. Each of them has a great experience in providing practical assistance. In addition, they are experienced instructors and carry out such trainings for medical personnel in Lithuania based on the IRTA training center. Thanks a lot, Rytis Malauskas and Thomas Gurskas!
