TACTICAL MEDICINE IN UKRAINE: Introduction into Military and Law Enforcement Academic Institutions and Training Programs

Conference is organized by Non-governmental organization Patriot Defence and Ukrainian World Congress with the participation of the National Academy and the Military Medical Department of the Security Service of Ukraine.
The war in Ukraine has heightened awareness about the condition of Ukraine’s system of tactical medicine. The need for comprehensive change is acute and requires introducing new training programs and academic curricula derived from evidence-based medicine, establishing internationally recognized standards, and implementing new models of training based on standardized courses with a network of experienced, certified instructors.
PURPOSE OF THE CONFERENCE: The two-day conference aims to present international experience in establishing tactical medicine educational and training programs, share the success stories of the various Ukrainian Security Forces in implementation of the training programs in academic institutions and Basic Training, and introduce a comprehensive state-of-the-art system for tactical medicine education in Ukraine.
FORMAT: The conference program consists of plenary sessions, panel discussions, roundtables and presentations by international and Ukrainian experts.
SPEAKERS: Civilian and military medical professionals from Ukraine, the USA and other NATO member-states who are experts in the field of tactical medicine, involved in the development of educational and training programs. Keynote Speaker J. F. RICK HAMMESFAHR, M.D. Medical Director of Tactical Medical Consulting, LLC, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Member of the Board of Advisors of the Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC).
PROPOSED PARTICIPANTS: Faculty and heads of Military and Law Enforcement Academies and Institutes, directors of educational departments of Security Services and Law Enforcement Agencies, representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Security Service of Ukraine, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Border Guard Service, National Guard of Ukraine and other security services and law enforcement agencies, international experts on tactical medicine, representatives of NATO member countries, tactical medical instructors, NGOs and international organizations.
